आपको बता दें कि दमोह जिले में चल रही पंडित धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री जी की राम कथा के पहले दिन कलश यात्रा के दौरान लगभग 40 से 50 महिलाओं की चेन स्केचिंग हुई थी जिसकी कीमत करोड़ों रुपए में लगाई जा रही है।
जिसके बाद पुलिस पर काफी दबाव बना हुआ था कि शहर में इतनी बड़ी संख्या में महिलाओं के गले से हार मंगलसूत्र काट लिए गए और पुलिस हाथ पर हाथ धरे बैठी रही यही वजह थी कि पुलिस ने सक्रियता दिखाते हुए तुरंत ही कुछ संदिग्ध महिलाओं को गिरफ्तार किया जिसमें बताया जा रहा है कि पुलिस द्वारा दमोह में लगे 50 से अधिक सीसीटीवी कैमरे व कई मोबाइलों की वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग की फुटेज खंगाली गई जिनमें यह संदिग्ध दिखाई दिए और उन्हें चिन्हित कर लेने के बाद उनसे पूछताछ प्रारंभ की जिन्होंने पूछताछ के दौरान अपना नाम पता गलत बताया जब इनसे शख्ती से पूछताछ की गई तो इन्होंने अपना पता और नाम सही सही बताया लेकिन फिर भी पुलिस इनसे कोई भी चोरी का सामान जप्त नहीं कर सकी यही वजह थी कि संदिग्धों पर पुलिस द्वारा फिर 151 की कार्यवाही कर जेल भेज दिया गया।
जिसके बाद बताया गया था कि कथा पंडाल के पास एक संदिग्ध और भी पकड़ा गया है जिसका नाम दीपक आदिवासी बताया गया था आज पुलिस को उसी दीपक की निशानदेही पर 14 मोबाइल और दो काली पोत वाले सोने के मंगलसूत्र मिले जिसकी कीमत मात्र
लगभग 1 लाख 80 हजार रुपए बताई जा रही है कहने का अर्थ सिर्फ इतना है कि 20 महिलाओं से कड़ाई से पूछताछ के बाद भी पुलिस मात्र उसका सही पता और सही नाम पता लगा पाई कोई भी चोरी गई वस्तु के बारे में पता नहीं लगा पाई और एक संदिग्ध से 1 लाख 80 हजार रुपए मात्र की बरामदगी और उसके दो अन्य साथियों को पकड़ने में पुलिस को भले ही सफलता मिली हो लेकिन सवाल तो यह भी है कि जब 20 महिलाएं संदिग्ध मिली जिन्होंने अपना नाम पता गलत बताया लेकिन ऐसे गिरोह से पुलिस कुछ हासिल क्यों नहीं कर सकी?
